Bleed status ailment with no physical damage?

If I have a skill like lightning strike and I use physical to lightning, I do all elemental damage.

If I have a chance to cause bleed, will enemies be debuffed with the bleed status ailment even though I don't do any physical damage?

You can't cause status ailments that are based on damage (eg: bleed, shock, chill, freeze, ignite, poison etc...) without doing any damage that can cause those status ailments. Since none of your damage can cause bleeding, it won't count.
