Scion - CoC Barrage Scion *HC VIABLE* *CHEAP* - Forum

Hello everyone, in this build guide I will be giving info on how to correctly start and get to mid high tier maps without any problems, just CoCing everything in your way!

Just to make it clear, this IS NOT A BUILD THEORYCRAFTED BY ME I mostly just optimised the Mathils coc spray barrage bow build so it can be survive the harsh enviornment of hardcore.

The basic idea of the build is to get 2 volley fire jewels, a quill rain(get a high proj speed one) and get as much crit on the tree and gear so your barrage can reliably cast COC spells which are : freezing pulse, ethereal knives and spark

Pros

-Easy to gear
-Can be done in a fresh league (confirmed by me, I ran it now in Flashback PHC
-Deals loads of damage
-Makes you orgasm when you see all those mobs shatter into pieces

Cons

-Needs a good computer to run it
-Lags/freezes for split seconds when killing HUGE perandus or shrine mobs
-If you want to play in t8+ meepz in hc and not die, needs some investment into gear

Offensive stats

- Barrage 88% chance to hit, 42% crit, +140% projectile speed, Runs 4+ frenzy charges and 3 power charges

Defensive stats

- 4.8K Life, 10K evasion, 44% spell dodge, 40% chance to dodge attacks

LEVELING

Grab split arrow, lvl with that till 28, then grab Blast rain, buy some good phys bows, a bow at 28 carried me to 50, then i had bought another one which carried me to 66
Also, buy spark,freezing pulse, ek,inc crit strikes, purity of elements, herald of ice, herald of thunder so those are ready and leveled for when you switch.

NOTE- Now you buy a quill rain, a tabula, and shadows and dust gloves/ Maligaros work fine if you're on a budget, YOU also need to have done cruel and normal lab by now, so you can have the deadeye ascendancy
NOTE from now, farm dried lake WATCH OUT FOR REFLECT OR YOU WILL KILL YOURSELF at level 70ish, go buy merciless lab from someone, so you get the berserker ascendancy, after and only then you spec vaal pact in the tree CONGRATZ reflect no longer hurts you, and you leech so much health back lag isnt an issue for big packs

Mana management

Run essence sap untill 70+, after you have a point to spare for a jewel slot, grab a % life, +2 (MUST BE +2) mana gain on hit jewel, and respec out of essence sap, A SINGLE +2 MANA ON HIT JEWEL IS ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN MANA

Help oak,kill all,help for frenzy charge(I use the frenzy skill to gain the charges and maintain them)

Im not sure the passive tree is the best optimised, but I thought I'd share it cuz its working for me atm.

My current gear (got lucky with 6 linking a quill, so i swapped tabula out for a high evasion chest, but a tabula and a normal quill is just fine, this change was pretty unecessary cuz i only got like 100 life from it and 1000 evasion
