[2.3]Dela's Obliterate Build CHEAP & FAST clears 200% life UPDATED
2.3 Build UPDATE
Spoiler
With the release of the patch notes, it appears this build will be even better in 2.3! More testing is needed but here are my thoughts and points for the build:
NEW ITEMS: Hinekora's Sight - Lots of potential to be a great item. Can Corrupt +1 frenzy or +1 curse, hopefully they are cheap. Seems to fit the build well. Cospri's Will - This item will very likely be best in slot. It is just great and makes the occultist build even better/more viable. The price of this item may be quite high unfortunately. Possible items upgraded via prophecy?? We will see. However unlikely, imagine an upgrade for Obliteration! PASSIVE TREE: A few minor changes to the passive tree. (Ascendancy choices detailed below) GEMS: No changes or additions to relevant skill gems for this build ASCENDANCIES: With many changes to various ascendancies and the addition of 2 more points totaling 8, the choice of optimal ascendancy is wide open. Before I get into details below, please note that almost any ascendancy will work! Choose one that fits your playstyle best. Elementalist
Spoiler
Many of the Elementalist nodes have gotten buffs! Liege of the Primordial has an extra golem! (Stone and Chaos are my golems of choice) More radius for Beacon of Ruin! Overall a great choice for the Obliterate wander and will still do massive damage. The addition of 2 points isn't the best, but still good.
Ascendancy Choices: Shaper of Desolation Beacon of Ruin Liege of the Primordial Pendulum of Destruction Passive Tree: (Slight changes) https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAMCANQH3I3filSufdIi9GwLbRmTJ5f0CPS-in_GUlPAVKEvEZaXlT1fakMHHg5ITLOVLl3yRX4EB9Af8NUrCg5cg9vv64_6SVERL2r6VcZcQOtjOliHyzY9tUismKebbWydqvfXdZ4Pq2yMm6FSr88VJIsWv2Ksj0a7TcM6JpVqjLTFpwjdX4ngm7Vh4vVvwuzr7mf85liExVVLyBQFtSpbmuAc3DLRkx-i2Y2_efZFnbiTjxpFR0kTsNjUI0M2U1Io-sBmUuyCxwSzrfE8BfnoogAYXe98QYfwH7c-aPL-CvJF2L064TWSplf-j03jMHHdqEt4OkJresi_RlL8TJD6320= Assassin

My class of choice this league. After testing, I was able to get crit capped with nearly no investment. Gear changes - Diamond rings, Rat's Nest. The changes to the node "Toxic Deliver" put this version over the top and will make our poison insane.

A top choice for the build and one I've come to enjoy a lot. The additional 2 points allow us to grab "Master Alchemist" granting us immunity to status effects. This lets us run the Vessel of Vinktar flask without worry!

Spoiler
There is a lot of potential here with the New Armor Cospri's Will. Curses can become our main form of defense. It also allows us to use a shield! We end up losing a bit of range as we need enemies to be cursed, but this Ascendancy is a powerful one with the addition of these new items. The additional 2 points are not the best for a life based version.

This one has a lot of potential but I need to test the new "Powerful Precision" node and how the projectile return mechanic interacts with pierce and also with frost wall. It has the potential to be EXTREMELY good if they interact positively. The last 2 points are not the best though.
Ascendancy Choices: Far Shot Endless Munitions Powerful Precision Fast and Deadly Passive Tree: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAICAFPPaU6bjQgu7YMZjgBe034knX1173piWv66RA3uDsjw_MWjig2NI_Zbr4d2TZKNfU4qkArjnzB8TP9KfVFHQzHWWDfUPs-Nv8Mz2sGNfuCf7T-95gW11CNaGi5TdO23tgVmbycGcMLsMHHTbwUtdcuaak6ftMUqW92oeu_qYr6nen9irHn2S3hlTWyMQzY6Qr02napS7Ed-Nj1VhetjpcsRL7VIKwp2gl3yyAwOSLTRtzARlha_6FoHHiaVD6tqjCaIlS5h4iSL9W_w1VVLwzrIFI_6SVGJ4Ju1otlcQOZYhMWw2IfLkx-nm0kTdZ7PFWeghNkT2rEBcUNl089eFUM= Note there are other viable Ascendancy choices, these are just the few that standout to me. Feel free to post if you have success with something different! I will be posting more and adding to the main page as more info becomes known about Prophecy and test results come in. Good Luck! Welcome to Dela's OBLITERATE wander build guide! After having a ton of success this challenge league I wanted to share my experience so that others can replicate the joy I have had this league. Luckily it can be done of an extreme budget! This wand is the backbone of the build: "Enemies you kill have a 20% chance to explode for 25% of their life" The idea is to scale this as much as possible. First, we dual wield them to bring our explosion chance to approx 40% (Depending on how they stack). Next we scale chaos damage and area damage in our tree and gear, where possible. This damage scales our main attack, our poison, AND our Obliterate Explosions! NOTE: Aim for 300% chaos/aoe/generic damage so that the 25% life explosion goes all the way to 100%+ Items like Carcass Jack and the Elreon added chaos damage craft boost our DPS considerably... but certainly are not required. After that, we select the witch Elementalist Ascendancy so that we can gain "Elemental Conflux" on kill to shock/chill/ignite our damage. Normally this isn't possible with chaos damage. Additionally we select the "Beacon of Ruin" to proliferate this damage and set up chain reactions. "Liege of the Primordial" is selected to further boost our chaos damage when we summon a chaos golem. Getting an initial kill to start the chain reaction is what comes next and for that I choose Kinetic Blast. It simply fits the best with our gear and setup. It applies many fast AOE hits and the damage from the KB explosions scale with AOE and apply many poison stacks. Pros: EXTREMELY low budget. The Obliterate wands cost 1 alc each, and they are just about all that is required. 4 links and 5c go a LONG way in the build. Things like added chaos gem (1 alc), Atziri's Promise (1c) are important and cheap. Snakebite gloves (1c) are an option as well. EXTREMELY fast clears, 180%+ movespeed, 5+ frenzy charges! Our damage scales with monster health so you always do massive amounts of damage Can do ALL map mods and most maps and most map bosses. (I have not done anything higher than T13) Flexible! Many build path options. Can go Acrobatics, Hybrid, MoM, or many others. Lots of LIFE!! 200% in the tree with 4+ jewel slots (up to 228%ish life w/ jewels) Reflect free! Cons: Some bosses that have chaos resist are tougher and take awhile to kill, especially in higher maps and require you to use the frost wall / wither totem combo to take down. You need your gems leveled for effectiveness, particularly the Added Chaos support gem. Passive Tree Bandits

NOTE: There is a lot of flexibility here. For a more defensive setup, taste of Hate/lightning coil can be used. Crown of eyes is also great and lets us scale by spell damage. Make sure to have enough accuracy to reliably hit! This is really important and often goes overlooked. The build clears so fast that things that increase your MOVESPEED end up being super important and that is the main reason I use a helmet like Devoto's Devotion. Jewels

Prioritize Life, Chaos damage, Damage, AoE Damage, Resists NOTE Chaos damage, % damage, and AoE damage not only scale our KB hits, they also scale poison AND most importantly they scale the Obliterate explosion damage. Skill Gems
Spoiler
Main Skill: Kinetic Blast, in order of importance: Kinetic Blast (Quality Important), Greater Multiple Projectiles (Quality Important), Added Chaos Damage, Poison, Pierce, Void Manipulation NOTE: Faster attacks, Conc effect, Faster Projectiles, Hypothermia can also be used as your 6th link. The idea is to scale our chaos damage as much as possible. NOTE: You can get Poison from the snakebite gloves, but I prefer using the gem vs trying to keep frenzy charges fully stacked Support skills: Chaos Golem (Fortify / Minion Life / Blind can be supported if you have the links) Clarity Arctic Armour Herald of Ash / Increased AoE / Inc Burning or Conc Effect (This burn ends up hitting hard and fast and lets the chain reactions continue since it proliferates from "Beacon of Ruin" Frost Wall / Spell Echo (This enables us to "shotgun" tougher bosses) Wither / Spell Totem / Faster Casting / Increased Duration Blood Rage / Vaal Haste / Increased Duration CWDT / Immortal Call / Inc Duration NOTE: There is lots of flexility with gear, you can run whatever you prefer as far as defensive and offensive setups go. The mandatory ones are Chaos golem, Wither totem, Frost wall, Blood Rage, and clarity. The rest is up to you and your preference. Video

As a witch start off and level with the skill of your choice, I prefer Spark from the very beginning. Blade Vortex is also good. You can grab the early spell damage and/or elemental nodes (respec out of them later) Same goes for the mana regeneration nodes. Consider switching to Blade fall when you can. It has better synergy with our tree, I believe this is level 28. Blade fall is likely the best spell post 28 all the way to level 66+ This is a 37 point tree - about the time you can start using blade fall: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAMAAN-w34qCEOkC_rNXK72CbRmX9Aj0IvRSU8BUbAuXlT1fakOTJ0yzUzUEB9AfUEKD2-_rjDZVxlVLOlhh4iaVFr9qjPVvyBSi2bDY Try to aim for something like this at 66 points: " Once you hit level 56 you can run the dual wield obliterate wands. I would stick with blade fall or blade vortex for awhile before switching to KB, maybe level 66 or so or until KB feels better/stronger than Blade fall. From here, you can go to the scion life wheel or you can head up to "Atrophy" on the shadow side. NOTE:Getting the DoT damage nodes should be some of the last things you spec into. The % chaos damage is MUCH more important and core to the build. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ AngryAA's HC Variant: For those that don't know, AngryAA is a fantastic full time streamer. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ranger Pathfinder Variant Main reason for making a Pathfinder - MASTER HERBALIST. (Your hits poison during flask effect) This opens up a link on our main skill (I'm using faster projectiles currently, slower proj did more dmg but I like faster better for now) and more importantly, it causes the Obliterate explosions to poison!! While the damage is not quite as good as the Elementalist, and the AoE is lower, the damage is still strong, better than any other non Elementalist version I have tested so far. Additionally Vitality Void/Spirit Void cluster is just ridiculously good as it allows us to leech our chaos dmg from KB and we also attack considerably faster (frenzy charges etc) and sustainability isn't a problem. Lastly we get more frenzy charges than the Elementalist version and easier access to Acrobatics. Basically you lose a bit of clear speed in return for some better defensive options. This is probably what I would recommend to a HC player, it simply has more layers of defense. Videos:

Not required, but useful. Again, a lot of flexibility and choice to the player for what style they want. Bandits Oak Kill Frenzy Ascendancy: Master Herbalist Nature's Adrendaline Nature's Boon Skills: Same skills, just pick another link instead of poison. (since we get poison from flask use) Currently I'm using faster projectiles. Add Grace as your aura in place of Herald of Ash, this will significantly boost your evasion. Special Thanks to Ben, Josh, and Chase for their help, advice, and patience in making the build. Also a shoutout to all the testers and players making the build stronger and more refined! Hey cool build idea..I like it!
How would you level this..Kinetic blast I assume the whole way. Cheers |

" I leveled with firestorm until KB was viable. I'm sure a chaos spell or a trapper would also do well. Cheers! |

" Hey there! It is awesome for mapping, haven't had much issue. To answer your questions: 1. Haven't attempted. Trash would be easy, but I fear the boss fights would be difficult. I will give it a run as I will be trying for the achievement and get back to you. Most likely not an Atziri farmer. 2. I have 75/75/75 resists, 35% phys reduction, 35% evade, and ~5400 life. This is with basalt flask up. I certainly think for a HC build the optimal setup would involve things like Taste of Hate, Lightning Coil, Mind Over Matter, Acrobatics, etc. but in SC I opted for Carcass Jack since I don't plan on leveling much past 92 or so Last edited by getinthevan#7119 on Apr 3, 2016, 1:40:39 AM
