Shops Should Reset?

I played for a few hours today, and my shop did not reset once it seemed. I don't know if there are special conditions when the shops reset, but if so, I'd like to have this information.

I was trying to find a normal item of a certain type to roll as rare. I played many instances, even finished Cruel difficulty. I logged out, I even exited the game completely...the gear in my shop was still the same! I went from Lioneye's (M) back to Sarn (C) and still the same items were for sale! I know that it has reset a few times while I've been playing in the past, but I can't figure out what makes it reset. Any enlightenment is appreciated. :)

Every time you level up the shops reset

It resets on a 24 hour basis, and every time you level up.

This is largely due to the value that items with the right slots have. If you could reset it at will by changing acts or difficulties or anything then one could easily shop their way into hundreds of chomatics and/or jewelers. That would leave us 1 very small and easy step away bots generating endless streams of those currencies.

Was the one good thing about the servers constantly crashing at release, would also reroll the shops.

I think 24 hours is way too long though. Shouldn't be able to reset it at will, but after going out and playing for a while you should come back to some new items. It's really boring at higher levels when you can play all day and not have the shops reset once. 1 hour would be a lot more enjoyable, would let you come back and check shops as a break from grinding. But ya, it sucks now.

I think a reset every 2 hours would be a lot fairer. Bots aren't going to wait around 2 hours at a time to get stuff, and players usually level much faster than that anyway. Also in the end game you stop levelling up as often and having to wait for an entire day to get mire vendor items sucks.

It's true, re-rolling shops at will would be very bad. I'd be happy with resets every 2-4 hours perhaps. That way if you took an actual break from the game (blasphemy!) you'd come back to a new shop probably. Or if you were playing all day, you'd get 2-3 shop resets.

Or perhaps... and I know this is craaaazy talk, but just maybe shops shouldn't sell things and/or at prices where you sell them right back to the shop!

I don't like the 24 reset stuff at all. JMO
