Will Pledge of Hands work with this build?

Why not use Iron Will as one of the support gems for Firestorm?

Here's the build I've done for a Hardcore version.

Hey everyone, i am a firestorm Templar, i used this guys build and talents as inspiration and it was helpful. Now, although i'm still new-ish player i want to share a few of my notes/opinions

Vaal gems no longer works with Cast when damage taken.

If you have trouble staying alive you can use life leech on firestorm. And i went for more faster cast rating than he does (4 casts per second) which is very useful for dodging hits quickly after a cast, and move on faster.

For leveling and farming, if you are of decent power i suggest to not use concentrated effect, having wider firestorms is nice for clearing big areas obviously.

another good support gem that he didn't mention is increased skill duration, i also took some increased skill duration passive skills, which increases the final damage output of a firestorm a lot, and together with my cast rating i can have 168!! fireball impacts per second, completely destroying the targets
(10 impacts per second, 0,25 cast time, skill lasts 4.2 seconds)

other things im currently doing differently is i use enfeeble as cast on damage taken instead of fire penetration(both molten shield and enfeeble will be cast at same time)
and i switch between flame golem and chaos golem

And since i have some more mana regen than him from talents too i have no use of clarity. Actually i dont use any of the auras he mentioned, instead i use Blashphemy (turns a curse into an aura) together with flammability and/or elemental weakness, which also benefits other elemental users in group. It saves me the trouble of having to curse stuff, so i can make more firestorms :D
