Whole screen flickering in fullscreen
I play on a laptop and I have never had any issues with the game before.
During the break I took from PoE I updated the dedicated graphics card drivers (Radeon with the complicated Catalyst Control Center) and today when I launched the game the whole login screen was flickering. I googled it, and others' problem was limited to just flickering in-game objects, but for me it's the entire screen. I thought that maybe it's only the login screen, but the character selection and game itself are epileptic as well :/ Only the loeading screens are ok, but that's most likely because they are static. I changed the in-game options to Windowed and the flickering is gone. But I'd like to be able to play in fullscreen. My potato laptop somehow manages to run Guild Wars 2 with no problems, nothing has changed since the drivers update, it's just PoE ;_; Does it mean I have to get the old drivers back? It's likely related to the graphics driver update... could just be a setting though and not the driver itself.
Also check vsync and other things for proper settings. |

Well, I'll try it and get an older version of the driver then.

Catalyst is not that complicated, every setting includes an explanation.
First I would make sure that none of the Catalyst settings override game settings (select "Use game settings" for every option under 3D or Gaming whatever). Also let us know if this issue is occurring whatever you change in the game settings, like resolutions with combinations of other settings. If nothing helps you can roll back your driver: Screenshot from work laptop ![]() BTW I have a R290 with Catalyst 15.5 and am not experiencing any issues myself. @OP - Do you have anything set up in your CCC to override the in game settings for PoE? If so, try setting everything to application controlled.
EDIT: Damn. Undercut! "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet? Last edited by MaxTheLimit#1114 on Jun 10, 2015, 5:02:23 PM
