people are gonna hate you for it, but maybe consider just doing another 1 month and giving yourselves extra time to finish the expansion properly. seems like the better choice for the game.

It is not mentioned in your post so I am not sure if GGG is evaluating this, but defensive options for casters (especially purely focused casters) is one of the more troubling issues i have noticed. when you look at the tree, most keystones associated with some sort of defense are mostly focused in the bottom half of the tree. in terms of mitigation and avoidance options, again casters dont have the options that melee and ranged (bow) have. they didnt before either, it's just that uniques existed that masked this problem (some of these uniques opened a false sense of a defensive layer of mitigation in the form of arctic armor which arguably was too easy to maintain and further masked the problem).

there are skill gem options and newly introduced mitigation skills, but none of then really specific to casters. as it stands, ES is the only option really but it neither provides mitigation or avoidance.
