Why does Cleave still have such a small radius?
Ground Slam: 35
Cleave: 20 I know cleave is 180° and groundslam is a V shaped cone and deals less damage (for stun reasons aswell i guess). But now theres also Static Strike which feels like 35-40 Radius in a 360° Circle! Ontop of that Static Strike has very strong damage per hit and is a useful ST and AoE ability, i wish more melee skills were like this, or, as stated that AoE skills like Cleave have a bit bigger Radius atleast. 2H Weapons are pretty big i dont think it would look "weird" to swing 30-40 yards wide. I mean casters just summon map demolishing circles with a radius of what 120 radius? \o/ Plz! Edit: what i meant to say was not static strike should not be nerfed at the moment but old melee skills should be buffed up to static strike standards Last edited by Giniyo on Apr 8, 2015, 5:34:56 PM

This may only be remotely related, but I wish weapon ranges had a bigger role to play in determining the radius of melee skills rather than the radius being fixed for each skill. This would also address your 2H cleave radius issue.

Thats why they bringed Reave to game...

"Static Strike's base radius is 18 (lower than Cleave). It inherintly applies a random modification to the radius from"25% reduced" to "25 increased" (since this is an "increased"/"reduced" modifier, it's additive to any radius increases you already have on the skill). | |
" Thanks for clarification, what seems odd to me is with a 20 AoE gem and Massive shrine, static strikes discharge covers bottom and top of my screen and cleave reaching like half of that at most. Please more big range stuff! :) Edit: actually dont quite get the explanation lol (english is not my native language) Last edited by Giniyo on Apr 9, 2015, 11:59:35 AM

i actually forgot even more, what i meant to say was if a melee skill, best example ground slam, does require some positioning / aim to hit everything it should have a greater reach towards that area over a 360 degree aoe skill in my opinion.
> gs is kind of fine, cleave is.. meh Last edited by Giniyo on Apr 9, 2015, 2:18:25 PM
