Dual Flameblast Totem Witch (Bloodlines) | Lameblast actually fun | by MirekLeFou (1.3)
. . . Feels like Atziri's and Abaxoth's flameblasts, like a Touch of God.

• Build inspired by Hamsterbaby's [1.0.4] Witch, Dual Totem + CI. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/724340

• Life based + EB + Raise Zombie, done in Bloodlines.
• With Ancestral Bond Keystone, your other spells won't do damage except Bear Trap and Minions.
You can still cast them and use their side-effects, e.g. use Ice Spears for generating power charges.
• Typical build for Flameblast, with dual totems actually entertaining and challenging.
• Can be used with Doryani's Catalyst, Infernal Mantle, Gang's Momentum, Mokou's Embrace Ring, Pyre Ring, Ngamahu's Sign, anything that adds ignite and burn. I'll eventually try some of them if I send her to Standard, I don't want to waste BL currency.
• Reflect is not an issue, brotems will deal with it for you = no need for Rise of the Phoenix.
• Very simple build around common skill offering range, safety, mobility, and damage.
• You're no longer locked in place.
• Yes, you lose damage and cast speed with Spell totem, but it actually works.
• Yes, you have to re-cast the totem for it to detonate, so what? Isn't PoE about clicking the mouse?

Introduction
Spoiler
This guide isn't about my super end-game gear, 20/20 gems, and five digits dps. Flameblast has been done countless times with same items and this isn't any different. It should only give you some tips and courage to try it with dual totems despite what community thinks about Flameblast.

"
Version 1.3.1b
Balance:• Reduced the damage of Flameblast by 20%. While this is a substantial reduction, Flameblast is still the most effective way to apply burst fire damage. This change will require players to put themselves at slightly more risk by casting it for longer. We’ll assess how this change affects use of the skill for levelling and in end-game situations. The skill is still very powerful and this reduction certainly isn’t breaking any builds.

I was level 76 when this patch deployed and I can confirm it's not that significant difference.
I've always wanted to try this build. I was told I'm stupid for even trying. Nothing motives me more than such attitude of others. I've done MF dual flametotem Scion in Rampage, it was very safe and easy build, I liked it. It wasn't :ResidentSleeper: for everyone back then. Dual flameblast needs a bit more attention. You finally have to think with it and you move all the time. And it feels so powerful even on budget. I'm enjoying it.

Idea was to use Curse on Hit with Arc together with Elemental Equilibrium, I cast flameblast so often I feel like it would cause more problems than good but I'll probably pick it up anyway so I can get rid of Fire Penetration in 4L.

I'm using Raise Zombie, they act like a decoy and make enemies busy while I detonate totems.
They are not very intelligent and often ignore monsters right next to them, but they do damage and help you loads.

Spoiler
Level 76: http://poeurl.com/zeBZSrU
110 points: http://poeurl.com/zeBZ3Rs

Keystones: Ancestral Bond
Optional - Eldrich Battery, Elemental Equilibrium
Q: What do you mean "Optional"?
A: Well I have enough mana for both Purities. If I want to run AA, I need Clarity as well so EB helps with mana regen. Elemental Equilibrium would be a cool choice If I wasn't lazy to cast Arc all the time, like I'd literally have to do so after every detonation. I'll try it in map with EE mod tho.

Bandits
Spoiler
N: Help Oak (Life)
C: Kill All (Passive point)
M: Kill All (Passive point)

Reflect?
Spoiler
Not a problem. Brotems will take it for you, so you don't need 85% fire res nor Arctic Armour like with self-cast flameblast.

How to approach enemies?
Spoiler
1. Raise 3 zombies.
2. Cast arc with curse on hit.
3. Place totems as needed.
4. Let it stack, move around, re-cast (detonate), re-cast (detonate), as many times as you need to, let zombies keep monsters busy and take the damage, if they die just raise them again.
5. If annoying monsters like snakes, sea witches, and beatles stick to you, push them away with Lightning Tendrils + Knockback.

Pros and Cons
Spoiler
Pros:
+ Mobility, safety, entertaining, challenging, off-screen damage.
+ No need to worry about reflect, no need for Rise of the Phoenix, Arctic Armour is optional.
+ Great AoE.
+ Spell totem gives less spell damage and cast speed but with taking Totem nodes you're rewarded with two OP flameblasts and mobility.
+ You're not locked in place, and you don't even need to see the monsters, totems detonate no matter how far you from them.

Cons:
- Leveling up self-cast Flameblast until 70+, then switching to Ancestral Bond.
- Performs poorly against snakes, sea witches, everything quick that follows you, flickers and leaps. Told you it's challenging.
- Sometimes you're required to cast totems really quickly (Proximity shield Nemesis mod). Requires some thinking and patience.
- Fast moving Rogue Exiles are a pain. I also don't mess with Spawn of Abaxoth.
- Storm Herald, Piety.

Seems like a fun build to play with! The explosions look really cool.

Just a question about the EE part. Can you actually proc EE with ancestral bond up? It says "hit with elemental damage" and I am not sure if it works if you just hit but not dealing any damage at all.
