Nobues's GS / HS Build [1.3]
Into
First I need to start out in saying this. This is my first public build. Over the years I have made many build and share them with friends. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to copy other peoples build I like to make something my own. That doesn't mean I don't look at builds and get idea's or lessen to input. To make the most out of this build I want feed back to not only help me but everyone else. Goal of the Build My goal of this build was to make a easy to build, use money maker. I have balanced just enough IIR to make a big difference, but not enough to take away from the tank of the build. Basic tree When you start to level this build go straight for Resolute Technique. Then go down and get Diamond Skin and those res nodes in that area, this helps with your res until you can find better gear. At this point go for your big damage nodes like over in Bone Breaker and Skull Cracking Once you get those go up and get the templar nodes you need, than over to the Duelist nodes to finish the build off at 85. I level this to 85 and stopped. If you go above 85 go for life nodes and stack your life for even more tankyness. Bandits Normal: Kill All Cruel: Help Kraityn Merciless: Help Oak Gear There are three required items on this build, Abyssus – for the flat phs Meginord's Girdle – for the flat phs Carnage Heart – For that life leech I have a 10% one So carnage Hearts life leech will counter the Abyssus 50% increased psy damage taken and give you a ton more life regen left over to keep you more than alive. Also the +all to attributes on the Abyssus and hear helps a lot to avoid any big attributes nodes you may need. I also do not see any life loss from the 25% reduce maximum life from the heart also so no big down side. Other than those 3 items, I aimed for IIR, and res, I'm maxed res with very little gear and the ring slot that is just about open to anything because you don't need it for res. If I would to 5l or 6l my mace, than I'll move my heavy strike over to it making it my single target killer with that 35k DPS it will do then.
My Current Gear
Play Style So my play style with this build is simple, while your GS you are very hard to kill. You do almost 19k DPS and HS does almost 23k DPS. When you change your HS gem with your SL gem for bosses your HS does almost 35k DPS. While your attacking you are good on life and mana. You stun a ton also and that helps keeping the mobs off your back. You have almost 8k Armor, and with your flask, you can get that up to more than 30k So with 30k armor you should be able to handle anything you need to. Charges So with the current build we get 5 endurance changes, and 3 frenzy charges. I have the endurance charges for immortal call, and the frenzy charges for attack speed. I get endurance charges from endurance charge on melee stun, and blood range for frenzy charges. Aura's I have 2 Herald of Ash and anger giving you a ton of fire damage. Things that could use work I will love to find a way to get to that 200 IIR mark on this build. We also have the gems in the gloves as extra to me, they really do nothing because we have culling on skull cracking. So I'll love to find a very useful 4 gem setup for them that ether adds to iir or making this build super very tanky. I was thinking maybe a CODT something or a counter gem of some type I don't know. The 2nd ring also can be anything! and I mean anything, I have it for IIR right now but will love to find a middle group that adds to the tankyness of this build but keeping some type of IIR. I will love to stay above the 120 mark of IIR. I think it makes a big difference. And also note, this build as of right now is 100% self found because of that extra IIR. I was also thinking about putting vaal ground slam in there and making it better than it is right now. Some last notes about skills and so on So I know not all my gems are level 20 on this build, some were because of some bad (maybe bad) corruption on them. Like my level 20 GS turned into a level 20 vaal GS so I had to level a new one. I got lucky on faster attacks and made it a level 21 corrupted gem, same with melee splash, and added fire damage. I am saving up so I can attempt to 5l or 6l if I'm lucky my mace. I have enough to buy a new mace with higher DPS I might also do that, but I'm happy right now with this one. Also all the damage number based off a tree that is very very close to this one but changed a small bit, so my numbers right now are very low and will update them once I Get home and able to make the changes to my tree. So this is my build I hope you like it. __________________ Will update with some pictures and updated damage stats once I get off work and can take those pictures and change over a little bit. hey! I stumbled across your build while looking for a tanky almost pure phys char, and I think I found what I was looking for :) it´s tons of fun and it has a great survivability!
one question: what flasks do you use exactly? I am lvl 45 currently and my only problem so far is the mana leech, but also my gear still sucks tbh. appreciate the answer! thx fore sharing this build! Greetings, Edit: one more thing: isn´t abyssus a rather unfortunate choice for a helmet? I mean the best thing about that item is the high crit multiplier roll which is useless with this build. Thx in advance for the answers Last edited by Xardas1988#7700 on May 8, 2015, 6:28:22 AM
