Performance Issues

Act 2 Cruel is slowing my machine with heavy signs of lag and DC's from the game ! I blame frost skellys <3 :)))
My rig: 1.5 gigs memo, Itel cure 2 duo, Asus p5b deluxe, ATI HD 4300 (64bit)

What?! Do you realise this issue absolutely ruins gameplay?

Exactly! How is this not a priority? If anything it should be the TOP!

This, I just dont get it :/

I love the game but playing in groups is absolutely impossible. And well, playing solo is about to get boring..

How is drastically improving gameplay for people not a priority? I see thread after thread after thread of radeon card users needing a fix

As for general effects framerate loss, we're going to be optimizing a lot of this kind of thing later in development, but while everything is currently subject to change, this isn't a priority.

There are lots of people (especially a lot of ATI/AMD card owners it seems) unable to play in parties because of the framedrops caused by the (perhaps) poorly optimized spell effects. Are you sure you can't make this a priority? Maybe a bandaid in the meantime is an option to turn spell effects off/down.

I'm sorry to sound blunt - but that is unacceptable. Improving hardware performance problems that affect an overwhelmingly large group of your player base should be of the utmost importance. I love this game so much and have nothing but good things to say. However, the biggest flaw I have seen so far is the lack of public address concerning the severe, crippling performance issues shared by players with ATI/AMD/Mac setups. Will you please at least have a GGG staff member explain, in detail, why this topic is being put on the backburner?

Yes, please. I would not mind running around with zero spell effects if that's what it takes. Or is the desync the issue here?

It has already been explained in detail. Every patch they release would need to be re-optimized, and with the frequency at which they are rolling out updates, the think it's better to get the game where they want it and fix this problem then, rather than add a ton of extra development time to the game. Long story short, this game is still in open beta, and it's going to have problems. Your expectation of it being a polished game right now is unreasonable. If it was a finished product, you'd have every right to be irritated.

not a priority ? i cant party with more then 1person or my fps will drop to 5 and still does at sometime. i dont have the best pc put i play the game fine when im walking 40-60fps then combat i get a lot of fps drops and lag 10-25fps. just have settings where u can turn off/turndown some visual effects from skills . im not saying u have to fix it asap i love the game just so much fps drops and lap makes it kinda not fun.
