Performance Issues

I have same issue on dock my hdd is loading like shit and i have fps drop .
btw everytime i have fps drop my hdd is loading.
this can occur in some other area like sewer when i use cold snap on some kind of mobs i can run some area without any prob even with massive fight and some other area are laggy like hell.
the worst thing was when i checked monitoring and i notice my cpu didn't load more than 55% in massive fight and gpu 45% While streaming with xsplit so i really don't get how i can have issue like this and it's so annoying :D.

There are some effects we are unable to preload at the moment, and we'll improve this in future! As for general effects framerate loss, we're going to be optimizing a lot of this kind of thing later in development, but while everything is currently subject to change, this isn't a priority.

To be honest, this should be one of your top issues. Just look at how many people are complaining about FPS drops and poor performance, even on decent rigs. The frustration caused by this could seriously hamper your user base in the near future.

Define decent rig's? I have a good rig and have had 0 issues, constant 150FPS and even with 3 people spaming LS with a minion filled screen I don't drop below 80 FPS.

Most of the people with performance issues are people with lower end pc's.

I am not certain what the problem is. I have the same issues.

GGG need to perhaps contact ATI as i think its people with ATI cards having this problem and find out what to do about it.

I have a 6850 and in beta i didnt have any problems.

Now i do, not just in act 3.

Id like to know what version of CCC those with ati cards are on without any problems

Why do there always have to be people like you? Oh, I personally don't have any problems, so it must be the fact that everyone else's PC is lower end. No, that's not the problem. Even though many of them may fall under your definition of lower end, they should be able to run this game without problems. It's just an issue with certain videocard / system specs that SHOULD be able to run the game properly, but aren't able to due to bugs.

Nice signature by the way.

What?! Do you realise this issue absolutely ruins gameplay?

Exactly! How is this not a priority? If anything it should be the TOP!
soooo is it confirmed now that this is a ati card related problem? or is it something about the hdd?

edit: i mean, really...graphics down to mid im at something stupid like 500 fps in town. but get those lightning out at the docks and...yeah.

Wow.

I can't believe I just read that this isn't a priority.

Your game is basically unplayable in Act3. And considering how hard it already is to play in act3 without graphics issues, that's saying quite a bit.

I've alt-f4d out of this game more times than I can count due to desync issues. I've lost BOAT LOADS of experience in merciless difficulty because of FPS drops. I've been completely unable to play in most group settings because people use summons/lightening effects. I've been patient, but to hear that just blows my mind.
An option to disable spells graphics should be priority, or some fix to this as its a widespread issue.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
Same here. I Have Radeon 4850. Yes, my PC is very slow.. playing D3.. in D3 I have MUCH less FPS, but NO lag spike, or freeze spikes. But in POE I have CONSTANT 40 FPS, and having these spikes ALL the time when JUST approaching some unique-elites, or someone who is going to use some spells with effects. I'm playing HC. It will kill me in later difficulties.
