Because this is a CoC-build, mana-regen is only needed for the cost of groundslam (that can be left at lvl 1). Even with some supports you might have in 5 or 6 link it will be dirt cheap.

I'm doing staff version myself too but I ended up using lightning spells thanks to getting my hands on this staff (spells are still in my body since i haven't got around fusing the staff yet).


I would most probably also use Vagan's mod but unfortunately that is not available for staffs. I have to opt for some accuracy on tree and gear to make up for that.
EDIT: was wrong about vagan staffs just bad luck with them being on sale

This looks totally awesome, nice job! So what did you do for leveling?

I'm assuming you just leveled with any spell you want and then once you had high enough gem levels/crit chance you just slapped the setup onto a 4L+?

I'm not familiar with ground slam. Can it hit one target multiple times for more crit chances, is that why you use it?

Nice Build!

You should put Reduced Mana-Purity of Ice-Herald of Ice in your +2 cold gem dagger.

You can move the Cast when Stunned-Molten Shell to the helm, it wont trigger the Vaal gem in 4th socket.

There is a problem - helm is pure evasion. And with a high dex requirement.
Even rolling 3 off on it would require a lot of chroms. I would need to buy another Rat's first.

GS can't hit one target multiple times, but it hits targets at different times so you get more spell activations the larger enemy pack is.
Actually I didn't level from the start and used a full recpec on my lvl 70 char, so I started using the main setup right away.

You can level with any spells you like really. The main problem would be manacost - so you would probably need to use manaleech gem or carry some manapots.

Currently I ran out of mana very rarely - Ground Slam costs about 20 mana.

With even one Elreon mod jewelry item it would become 12 mana, and with 3 items I will be attacking for free )

Currently in my old tree(still can reset it) i have:
165 % increased Critical Strike Chance
195 % increased Critical Strike Chance for Spells
74 % increased Critical Strike Multiplier
40 % increased Critical Strike Multiplier for Spells

And my crit with some crit chance items is ~30%. I mean why it is so low.. How to reach crit chance as high as others do like (80%) or at least more than 60%..

Your skill tree here is:
110 % increased Critical Strike Chance
265 % increased Critical Strike Chance for Spells
30 % increased Critical Strike Multiplier
50 % increased Critical Strike Multiplier for Spells
135 % increased Melee Critical Strike Chance

Which is almost the same as mine when it comes to crit chance.
I swear if they make some maven "Simon says" insta-death minigame, sirus, exarch ball minigame then i wont play poe2.
