Rampage Crit Arc Witch
Hey everybody, just a heads up that this is the first time making a guide. This build started off as a going with the wind build but turned into something I enjoy playing and hope others will enjoy it too. Another head's up, I know that Foxtactics has a crazy dps crit arc witch, but seeing as I'm relatively new to getting builds to 80+ I felt like seeing if the forums could improve this build / critique it.
Anyway, onto the build. Contents

Build Introduction This build started off going off of other arc builds, mainly Mind over Matter Arc builds, but I decided I really wanted to make a crit build. Currently the character is at level 83 running most maps up to 74 (RNG isn't kind to me to test higher). I've tried several different setups for gems during the course in order to try to find the perfect build for my kind of play. This build is meant to be mainly low budget / self-found until wealth is accumulated as this was also my first Rampage character so that is how I played. There will be some uniques and expensive gems / gear in the build too but these are optional and only be purchased when excess currency is available. P.S. the build isn't finished and any feedback / criticism is welcome. 2. Skill Tree

I'll try to updated this as the character levels. The main focus of the tree is to grab a lot of the Crit, Lightning Damage, and Mana Regen nodes. The Aura, Life and ES nodes were grabbed as preference for survivability as the character progressed. The main focus of the build is trying to crit as much and as hard as possible. With the current tree and items I have 55% crit chance with charges and a 450% crit multiplier. The rest of the points that are left to be obtained are going to be put towards more life/ES, Mana Regen, or Elemental Damage. 3. Offense Stats

Now to Explain the setup. The links on the weapons are interchangeable, which weapon doesn't matter as long as its 3 link. The standard Lightning Warp setup is used as our mobility skill here. The Second Arc / Culling strike is used to finish off bosses and rares for added rarity when running solo, this can be removed if you would prefer to have other skills on The Ball Lightning + Curse on hit is used to apply our Crit Curse for passive Power Chage Gain. If you are able to remember to spam this often, you can maintain your max charges constantly leaving you able to have a full 5+ link arc for more damage. GMP is added so that you can cover the whole map with the curse. The Chest can be ran with 3-6 links, obviously higher is better unless you have crazy +3 Lightning / Empower weapons. Other than that, I run with Spell Echo, Increased Crit Damage, Faster Casting, and Power Charge on Crit. Spell Echo and Faster Casting allow you to reach over 3.5 casts a second making you able to clear packs very fast especially with crits landing. The Crit damage is key as this allows your Arc to do an extra 100%+ crit multiplier. Power Charge on Crit is the interchangeable link as if you aren't lazy like I am, you can remember to cast your curses to keep your charges. However with this setup, you can spam arc on bosses without worrying about charges at the cost of some dps. Arctic Armor is in the 6 socket as this the only open socket and this is your primary defence. Boots are your standard aura + reduced mana setup. I use clarity for the mana regen in order to keep a high level of Arctic Armor running while moving. Discipline is used as your hybrid effective life setup, this could theoretically be converted to mana using EB but with my current setup, losing about 2k ES would hurt, unless running MoM. The Purity of Lightning is for the obvious reflect ele damage mobs for the max cap res. Gloves is the standard CWDT except for Vaal Arc. Vaal arc is currently there because with your crit multiplier this spell can do some serious clear speed but must be used cautiously as you can accidentally suicide to reflect mobs off screen. The CWDT setup is up to what you feel comfortable with. 5. Gear Now for the meat of the guide. The gear here is my current setup and is very subject to change as I earn enough currency or find better drops.

The gear for this build is fairly simple to gear for but can also be very pricey to build correctly and effectively. The weapons can be whatever your preference is, I went for pure crit build so the goal was to find high base crit daggers with high spell crit chance, preferably with mana regen or spell damage. The two diamond rings are pretty self explainatory as haing an extra 60% global crit chance is nice to have, once again resistances and mana regen is key to running Arctic Armor. The Helmet, Gloves and and Belt are just placeholders as the stats aren't that good they just have good resistances and have the links / colors I need to run my build. These can be upgraded / swapped whenever needed and are dependent on the links you are running. The Chest can be anything from a good high ES / Hybrid Chest with 4-6 links. I prefer to have more links as opposed to trying to gamble on a +3 weapon. Having an extra socket for Arctic Armor is really helpful, with my latest plans of the build this isn't as needed since I'm working on a way to run a 6-link Chest while still having AA on either Unset Rings / weapons. The two Uniques I currently have are Atziri's Foible and Rainbowstride. The Atziri's Foible was self-found, actually twice found, but was decided to be used recently as I managed to find a way to keep max resists and the mana regen really helps on keeping AA up and running. Rainbowstride is the main purchased item in this build at about 15c, this can be ignored if you can find good resists + movement speed boots. The mana and energy shield are nice to have on top. 6. Future Plans for gear Currently my goals for this build are to keep trying to find good daggers or sceptres that have good spell crit and damage. The uniques I would like to use are either Heartseeker or Divinarius Daggers as they both provdie crit and spell damage. As for the rest of the gear, the usual end game rares are useful to have, a 6-L chest would be great as it allows for even more interchangeable gems but then alters how the build works. Currently, I'm trying to get Unset Rings with Mana Regen + Resists + Crit which is very pricey but this will allow the use of Vaal Gems and AA to be placed here rather than removing the Culling Strike setup. 7. Added Notes This section will be any additional notes for later build progression. Keep an eye out for potentially a leveling guide and spreadsheets. Afterwords Thanks for reading this guide, please feel free to critique the build and provide feedback. This was one I am really wanting to get right as I might consider attempting a Hardcore viable build. This was intended to be pretty beginner friendly as its also a softcore build but I also want it to be viable in competing in ladders and endgame maps. |
