How do you quickly equip items?

Pretty much every single game of its genre, right click does it.

Here, nothing does it.

Dragging is a pain in the ass.

So how do you do it?

If dragging is a pain in the ass, how do you manage to drag your character all the way across maps killing monsters?

While right click to equip an item would be a nice luxury, it is by no means, gamebreaking or a necessity..

I disagree, it is a necessity. I'm amazed this game does not have such a basic feature by now.
